NAMI Broward County

Founded in 1984, NAMI Broward County is dedicated to the eradication of the stigma associated with mental illnesses and to the improvement of the quality of life for all individuals affected by these diseases. NAMI Broward County provides free support groups, education classes and seminars, legislative advocacy, and information for people in our community living with mental illness as well as their loved ones. Programs include Family-to-Family, Peer-to-Peer, Basics, Provider Education, and Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) Training for law enforcement personnel.

Federation of Families

Federation of Families of Broward County is a family network organization. Recognized in Florida and nationally as a voice on behalf of families of children and youth and young adults with emotional, behavioral, substance use and mental health needs.  Their mission is to empower, support, and advocate for families of children with or at risk of behavioral, emotional, mental health, and/or substance abuse challenges through: education, inspiration, and encouragement.  Federation of Families of Broward is a chapter of the National Federation of Families for Children Mental Health and a subsidiary of South Florida Wellness Network, Inc, a 501(c)3 organization.

Youth Motivating Others Through Voices of Experience (M.O.V.E) Broward

Youth M.O.V.E Broward is a youth led organization dedicated to improving Broward County’s system of care, services, and support strategies.  The members of youth MOVE Broward help to unite the voices and causes of youth; while raising awareness around youth experiences, efforts, and needs.   They advocate for rights and equality in mental health and the various systems that serve them.
